Waiting for the finish to cure, then will rub out with pumice to knock back a little of the gleam, then wax to bring it back.
I put the lugs on for your viewing pleasure.

Greg, with all the incredible work you've done I wonder if it would be worth it to have the bearing edges re-cut? I'm not sure what condition they're in, so that is just speculation on my part at this point.

They look terrific though!!

Perhaps you have some thoughts about the edges. My plan was to put them back together to see how they sound. I never paid that much attention to the edges when I first had them, because I liked the way the kit sounded.

Memory locks added to the bass spurs:

PS3 Fiberskyn on batter, Fiberskyn Amb weight on reso. The PS3 FS adds a bit of attack, as the beater is hitting a chunk of stuff, but otherwise the note seems similar to EQ4 batter. The shell opens up and gives a big round note, and then closes down again at about the same speed.

Greg,

Do you like Fiberskyns on the toms / snare? If so, I'll ship you some heads. I've got several new ones and they don't work for me.

Wow!. They look great.

I see you were able to find collets for the internal memory locks (and presume they have been loctited). :?

I hope you are going to record a clip soon, for comparison of the kick set up against your prior samples(s) with the EQ4.

Speaking of heads, have you received and tried the calfskin share head(s) we had talked about a while ago?

Feel free to make that another string, if you like.

Thanks for the offer, David, but I've got some stacked in a storeroom, too - unless you happen to have Dip weights, in which case I'd be interested to try them. :)
