Picked them up last night and still yet to play them but I'm already in love. The finish is just stunning and the quality of everything is incredible. The 22x20 kick drum is a cannon! This is basically an SQ2 at an amazing price. Love em! |

WOW - a fantastic set You got there Ron... As far as I can see, they use the same rubber isolation like on the S Classix - but You can think of them as an half priced SQ2 set (since beech is a rarity in the offer)... GREAT!!!! I'm waiting on a "fully set up" picture... |

That's a great looking kit. I think that is the best pic yet I have seen of them. I love that they are not "overdone". The color and the badge look great together. Those are my favorite Sonor claws too. The snare could pass as a Signia if the badge wasn't there. Great job Ron. No idea you were even in the market for another kit. Your SQ2's are the bomb. |

Thank you everybody for your kind words........Just need to learn how to play drums properly now............Sad but true. Sorry for the dull lifeless picture of them stacked up but we had a big drive to get them last night and by the time we got home it was pretty late so I got them out their cases and took this single picture to show you all! Kelly wrote: No idea you were even in the market for another kit I wasn't Kelly! When this hit my local drum store last year I was VERY tempted to buy them. Eventually organised the funds to find out they sold two days previously. I was gutted knowing the chances of getting one in white and in the condition I wanted it to be in including the snare would be almost impossible. Julian at eCymbals here in the UK (Amazing guy and so helpful and pleasant to deal with) found this kit for me in Scotland and it turns out it is the very same kit I looked at in my local store! So it got it's correct home in the end Hoping to get them set up properly next week at band practice and simply cant wait! Goki wrote: You can think of them as an half priced SQ2 set By me saying they are like SQ2's Goki was just regarding the overall quality of the shells, finish and hardware. It's so well made and could not agree more with Kelly's comments on the badges. Would love to find out how many of these kits were produced actually. As for the isolation rubber etc yes it is not quite SQ2 standard but still very nice. The guy had only played it once and the 10" tom as never seen a drumstick! As far as price goes they were first priced at £2999 or slightly higher in the UK and then most stores actually let them go for £2499 about a year later if still in stock. So I guess they fit into the range between the SQ2's and the Ascent kits being beech? As far as I know there is one black one in England somewhere for sale. I wanted it in the white as the badges just look amazing in contrast. Also White is pretty handy for playing weddings I thought. |

Those are freakin' gorgeous!! That's the modern Sonor kit that I would choose to have right there. Wish they made it with a 20x18 BD also. - D. |

I would have preferred an 20x18 kick also but looking forward to hearing how this cannon sounds properly with my choice of heads on it. Can't wait to get an EMAD on there! |

The beech Infinitive is an excellent set. The badge is pure class, and the finish is breathtaking. The sizes are great (although I personally don't like deep bass drums). I think that the Newport and the Beech Infinitive would be one of those "got to have" kits in the future... |
