Here is a recording with my SQ 2, clear Black Dots top and bottom. Please let me know what you think of the sound. Please excuse my playing, it's still rusty.

Hey Greg,

Quick listen on the office stereo: this has more mid-range warmth than usual, and as you would expect, sounds a little more muted, especially in the lower toms.

"They ain't maple, but I'm getting as close as I can."
:?

Thanks Cliff, another one of my mad mad experiments  I like these heads tuned high. Lower tunings of the CS Dot heads sound very dead for obvious reasons.

Greg, I like that you keep trying all this stuff. This is different than your norm but certaintly not in a bad way. I think it sounds fine. Funny when I think of black dots I think old school and I get that vibe from this recording.
No need to apologize for your playing. It's always fresh and enjoyable.

Thanks guys, you're very inspiring! I'm really liking the CS Dots, I'm going to keep them on my toms for a while. :D

The sound is very focused - I've been listening it on my headphones, and I must say I like what I hear - A LOT!!!

You should leave them on for some time Greg... ;)
You sound more sure when You play them - which means that You really enjoy the sound You're getting from the drums!!!

Keep it up - they sound great!!!

I think they sound fantastic! I'm not a fan of high tuned toms but they are amazing!

Nice and thanks for taking the time to upload it :)

Thanks guys. Goki, focus was the word I was looking for to describe the sound. :) I was going to conduct another drumhead experiment for us to hear. But I decided not to do it, because I LOVE the sound I'm getting right now. Perhaps I have found the ultimate drumheads for me.
Thanks again,
Greg
