I listened to your recording several times now, and I WILL try G1's next time I have to re-head. Anyone tried the coated version? |

Rob. I tried the coated G1's on my 12" and 14" toms, they sounded awesome. Less sustain and a little warmer (coated G1's) were the only dfferences between the coated and clear G1's IMO. |

The SS kit in the link I sent sounds much like a Phonic to me, and you can see the bearing edges through the head, head appears to be Opaque, just like the G Plus, perhaps they are a different head again. I'm only familiar with Remo's standard line heads, and they don't look like Ambo's to me. |
