Hey guys!

Sent Cliff some tracks from the new band but a couple were still works in progress. Think I'm digging this one the most so far. It was recorded live so some screw ups here and there but overall not too bad. The bass guitar is a little low in the mix (and the china was WAY high  ) but we're still experimenting w/placement of the Zoom.

Thanks for taking a listen!
Gunnar

Hey Gunnar,

Glad you are putting some of this stuff up here for everyone else to check out as well. ;)

I always enjoy getting the pre-release stuff, and getting to exchange thoughts with you on it

It has got to be tricky placing the zoom recorder. Greg and I have talked a lot about his observations recoprding with his, and they seem really sensitive to placement.

Not only are they sensitive to placement, but they are over sensitive to high end, which usually means that cymbals that sound good to your ear sound brittle and over-used in playback.

Nice playing in there, Gunnar. I haven't listened closely yet, because the speakers in the laptop make even Niagra Falls sound like a drain pipe. :|

Totally agree about the comments on the Zoom. Seems like even the smallest change in placement can result in a drastically different outcome.

Appreciate you guys checking it out & the feedback!
