Got enough working knowledge now to approach capturing the drums as they sound to me, and then spent the last two weeks trying to figure out how to mount a file without resorting to the indignity of mp3 compression or Quicktime files that only Mac guys will listen to. Long story, but Cliff came to my rescue, so now I can post the sound of teardrops.

Do me a favor and try this link, too. Cliff had to download it, but see if you can open a preview by clicking the file name and waiting a few seconds for it to load:

I was envious of that room's potential as a studio when I first saw it.

Now, more so.

Nice work, Greg.

You now have the affliction.

More equipment; less sleep.
:?

Hey, Cliff. Thanks! Thanks also for the help. I have mounted a different address to the file, in hopes that I can stand on my own two feet. Does it work as it should? It does from my end.

Do you like my Western Union Teletype Table? Can't see it too well but it has a copper surround that circumscribes the entire table top, to defuse static, I expect. Also has a few holes where instruments used to be mounted but that now facilitate the disappearance of wires.

I've including a view from the drummer's end of the studio for perspective. The fenestrated room at the far end makes a great vocal chamber.

Links works, but my test took nearly 5 minutes to download.

I did not even notice the table initially. The copper has a nice patina.

Don't download it. Just clicking on the file will open a playable preview.

The top is not copper, but some sort of old-fashion brown rubber surface… no doubt also for electrical separation. The copper wraps the perimeter in a two inch band. An interesting item I picked up years ago who knows where, and finally found a good use for. The arm wing is useful in all kinds of ways, particularly for holding coffee away from the electronics!

Nope.

Tried that first and got a message "Preview not available for this file."

Maybe just put both links in your first post, and see what experience others report.

I tried yesterday and couldnt get the wav file to work, but the macmate is fine today.

Drums and playing sound killer! Bass drum in particular has a great tone.
Cant wait to hear more

I'm pretty sure your new studio is the size of my new apartment, you are making me miss my old drum room.

Wow look at that! Some more pics worthy of a magazine. Geez Greg
I got the files to play. Love it. Don't think I've ever heard a clearer ride stick. Very very sweet.

What are the ship pictures? Love them
