New short video playing Steve Reich's Clapping Music...it's got nothing to do with groove just a nice study piece to concentrate on accuracy, i'd recommend it!

Hope everyone is well by the way? I was in Rome a couple of weeks ago with my fiancee, amazing place!

Thanks Cliff, yeah Rome was superb, great sights, food, wine etc...luckily no problem with pickpockets but we were extra careful. Amazing place...only 2hr flight from London too!!

You are working hard at it, Nick. Fantastic results!

I've never been to Rome. When I had the opportunity, big cities were not on my list of things to see. Now I would love it, at least the parts that don't include standing in queue.

Thanks Greg. Yeah we took a tour of the Vatican to bypass the 2 to 3 hour queue!!! we'll worth the money though, the guide was from Ohio of all places.

know the sound is pretty crap but thought I'd share some short vids of things I've been working on..
It's been like an oven in the studio the last few days!

1/ Improvising some cross rhythmic 5 ideas between left hand and right foot

https://youtu.be/180jEmcXL5k

2/ Playing a 15 note groove as 8th note triplets, 16ths and quintuplets over a 1/4 note pulse.
The intro fill is quintuplets partly orchestrated in 3s, if anyone is interested.

3/ Practicing displacing the hihat over Herbie Hancock's Chameleon groove

Geez can't believe I ask for this.
I watch your videos Nick and think, "I am laziest drummer ever".

Always enjoyable. One of the few people left that I actually enjoy watching.
Thanks for thinking of us.

Wow, Nick! This is fantastic stuff, musical even though you are playing exercises. For me, the third bit would find the most application - that's a great groove! I need to listen over better speakers.
