Yup - finally, an amateur recording of our performance...

I set up the PA system, and used the line out from it to connect it to the laptop. Drums were recorded with only one simple dynamic microphone.
Plenty of distortion - but You can sense what we're doing... :lol:

• Blues - Kinda
• Golden Brown
• Red Baron

What I used:
Catalina Gretsch bop set (Coated Emps on top, Clear Ambs on bottom)
Zildjians - 14"K Hi hat, 12" K Custom Dark Splash, 16" & 18" K Dark Thin crashes, 20" K Custom Dark Ride, with a ballchain... ;)
Sonor D-505 snare...

EVERYTHING that sound like it's hit with a stick is ME... :lol: There's no timbale guy (it's the snare with the wires released)


I hope I'll (finally) be able to have the recording we did last April, with my SONOR Hilite set... Will post that ASAP... ;)

Very nice work, Goki. ;)

Also nice having percussion in the mix to add a little flavor.

I understand the limitations that you were working with, but I wish I could hear the drums a bit better. :?

Looking forward to hearing the studio stuff.

The drums are buried in the mix, but I get the idea of what your playing. Great music Goki, thanks for posting.

I know it's a poor recording - it was intended for us, to help us see where we're goin'... But, we agreed we like the sound... :)
I thought I should share what we play - when it comes to drums alone, I'm pretty shy... :oops: :lol:


I think that the stuff recorded with the old line up will be in my hands next week...

Great to hear you playing, Goki, and nice job! (would be nice to hear you louder... and maybe the bass player quieter? :) ) I'm the chicken in the group, who doesn't record performances because I don't want to make myself uneasy. Cliff has a file of a duo rehearsal made on the H4n several weeks ago, and he's welcome to link it if he wants, but it's pretty raw bones.

Recorded with a previous line up, in April 2009. Marta is on percussion, and I'm behind my HILITE set...
