Quick listen on the office stereo: this has more mid-range warmth than usual, and as you would expect, sounds a little more muted, especially in the lower toms.

Thanks Cliff, another one of my mad mad experiments I like these heads tuned high. Lower tunings of the CS Dot heads sound very dead for obvious reasons.

Greg, I like that you keep trying all this stuff. This is different than your norm but certaintly not in a bad way. I think it sounds fine. Funny when I think of black dots I think old school and I get that vibe from this recording. No need to apologize for your playing. It's always fresh and enjoyable. |

The sound is very focused - I've been listening it on my headphones, and I must say I like what I hear - A LOT!!! You should leave them on for some time Greg...  You sound more sure when You play them - which means that You really enjoy the sound You're getting from the drums!!! Keep it up - they sound great!!! |

Thanks guys. Goki, focus was the word I was looking for to describe the sound. I was going to conduct another drumhead experiment for us to hear. But I decided not to do it, because I LOVE the sound I'm getting right now. Perhaps I have found the ultimate drumheads for me.Thanks again, Greg |
