Hey Greg,

I didn't infer your question on whether I was curious about a higher 'traditinal' tuning as being a suggestion or negative critique at all.

I guess it is probably somewhat similar to what we were talking about with the Signature snare, and the curiousity to record with that. I am curious about both, but I am quicker to act on curiousities that (i) offer potential solutions to perceived problems, or, (ii) may deliver identified and desired benefits.

I suspect that along with a different sound, there is a very different feel to a higher kick tuning, and I am, as you know, always a bit reluctant to mess with the things that are involved in the whole 'left foot does everything' equation.

Yep. But your "one foot does all" is doing a lot. That's why I asked; I'd be curious to hear your musical thinking if the tone shifted. 8-)
