Tomorrow night, Marta is organizing a music-culture event in the biggest art club here in Skopje.

She'll promote her 2 books (prose and poetry), and we'll also have music acts.

4 to be precise. :)

First, a percussion performance (quartet), then two quintets that will promote their own music, and Josephine's Suspenders (our band) for the rest of the night...

It will be great, especially since Marta and I are in ALL 4 bands...

So, it will be a 4-5 hours drumming marathon for me, but I'm happy... I have a chance to play the S Classix which is fantastic...

Plus, we're negotiating recording the event, so IF we can do that, I'll be able to post some songs as well. I too hope someone will bring a camera... :)

So, wish us luck for Wednesday night... Pictures will be posted as soon as I get some sleep after the show...

Cheers,

Didn't have time for a "Goki shot" Kelly, because everything fell on my back.
I transported all the gear, I helped with all the PA wiring, and conducted the sound check for all 4 bands.
All in all, I had about 10 minutes of rest during 10 hours of playing and running... No wonder I came home from work yesterday, and slept the whole evening...

Here's a link to the video of the last 2 minutes of the percussion quartet: http://www.myspace.com/video/rid/109777469
I hope it opens...

We recorded the event, so I'm waiting on video material from another camera, as well as the mixed final recordings...

In the meantime, some pictures:

Hopefully, I'll have the recordings next week...

I also got the VIDEO - all that is needed now is a conversion... :)

Great, :D

P.S. We had a gig with another guitarist and double bass player Friday night. Now, THAT went fantastic - I hope I'll be able to get the recording from that as well, since the owner of the club decided to record the event (stereo mix)...
