Nice photo Greg, what Evans heads are you using? And is your second rack tom a 10" instead of a 12"?

Thanks, Greg, and nice to hear from you. What have you been doing with yourself, aside from producing vids? Still working with other musicians?

G1 on all tom batters and resos. Second tom is a 12, with clear batter.

I'm doing great Greg. I'm still making drum cover video's, and playing with a band that does alternative rock, and techno mixed. I like your band Cupola. I checked your band's website, very nice music.
I'm curious as to why you have a clear G1 on your 12" tom as opposed to a coated to match the rest of your toms. I miss playing single ply heads. Double ply is best suited for my band's genre of music. I'm using clear EC 2's on my toms. :|

Great, Greg!

I use the 12, more than the floors, as a partner to the snare. So I like to have it as lively as possible, for edge playing and rim shots and quick response. Floors I like to sound softer, slower, fatter. Can't quite explain why I like the 8 coated...

Yeah, if the guitar and bass player were playing through amps and not going direct for some reason, I think front of stage would have probably been a more controlled place for the Zoom. Once all the waves get out into the hall, even though it looks like a beautiful room acoustically, the bass and drums will bounce around quite a bit.

Looks like a fun gig!

Thanks for liking the band. While the recordings are passable, just, I looking forward to getting some that I'm not ashamed of and don't have to qualify in messages like this one   . It's a shame the drums didn't pick up well at Saturday's gig, because in all other respects the performances are superior to the ones on the website. When those tracks were recorded, Lily and I were both ill and it shows.

Current efforts at recording are being held up..., I think by a learning curve.

That picture needs to be blown up and hung on your wall. It's just superb.
