Kel, I don't know about steady. It's fun to do once and a while, but if I was going to be a permanent member of something it would have to be more..... professional..

I kick myself for not taking a camera.... there may be audio somewhere tho.....

Dave, there've been times I've been glad there was no camera, but playing is always fun. The only time, when at the end of the evening I wished it hadn't happened, was at a PETA fundraiser in Portland. Our manager told us it would be great exposure. It was, to all six people who showed up. The organizers forgot to promote the event.

And I have to live with the shame of having played for PETA - and for free.

Thanks Greg! That is actually my small rack. The built in riser is 12" tall, although I could use almost any length of legs. The rack was originally built to be a single bass rack. If you look closely just before the bend on each side, you can see a small black "nub" angled down towards the floor. This is where the front legs are supposed to go. I left them off and squeezed a second kick in there to keep me square with the world...

The larger one is polished stainless steel and has a top to it....

And since we were "outside" in a garage, I used my 8" Ludwig coliseum instead of my segmented tulipwood.

Great setup Dave...
The idea of using a rack is very smart. You certainly got rid of all unwanted hardware bases...

Tell me - how do You like the Oriental hihats?!? I must admit, You're the first one I know to use them as regular hats in a setup. :geek:
