Lily ran across a young guy in Bandmix the other day, sent me a link. Two days later, she bumped into him up the hill, invited him over to play. Tonight we got together and it was great. He's twenty years old and can play just about anything you throw at him. Particularly likes to play swing, jazz and rockabilly, and knows many of the jazz standards Lily knows. Not stuck up, not withdrawn, not into all that stuff that hobbles kids (and adults, for that matter); just wants to play.

So we put together nine or ten songs in a couple of hours and will get together again on Sunday.

All the practicing I've been doing paId up royally; surprised me, really. :)

Nice.

Glad to hear that the practicing is paying off, and that you guys have a start on something!

Greg,

Sounds like fun. What is his instrument?

Wouldn't you know? I'm so used to guitar players that I failed to mention it. I could wish for something else, but I think that'd be looking the gift horse in the mouth. I think we can go forward with what we have, though an upright bass would be a great addition.

Thanks, Goki. I am. :)

It's been a long dry spell. But not unproductive.

Congratulations, Greg!!!!

Glad to see another "youngster" who is passionate about music (and not just getting famous, rich, etc)!!! :)

Are you guys planning on recording soon or are you going to smooth out/work with the compositions?

Thanks, Justin.

We're planning on getting famous, rich, etc.

Working on the compositions is first; already we can hear a good sound. Website with a few recordings will follow, and hopefully line up some gigs. And I guess we'll see whether Travis sticks.
