After tomorrow night it will be history, but the blurb looks good until then:

Looks like an awesome room Greg, take some stage pictures. I love those old theaters.
And have a great gig!

I wish we had had time to look in there when we were up there.

It just looks like it would be a great place to play!

Best to you and the band, tomorrow.
;)

Thanks, guys!.

I hadn't looked at the photo albums or video before now, and when you seemed to understand what the place looks like, I had to go poke around to find the pictures.

It is a great room to play in. Excellent performer/audience contact, and great acoustics, too. You have to be careful practicing paradiddles on your knee back stage, lest the audience hear it. I discovered that by accident one night, while a low-key guitarist was approximating down-home blues.

As to the restoration, I was ballast on the committee to get the project going, although I bowed out right sharp once the real work began. I'd already been on several restoration committees before that, and I knew exactly when to let others take over, which is right about the time when the chairman begins to designate specific tasks. At the time I had put in about eight years of volunteer public service and was ready to do something else.

Sounds like it will be a fantastic event Gregory.

Please post some pictures of the place - it would be great to see "a piece of history" and Cupola together... :)

Have fun!!! :D

Got through it. People said it was great. I noticed myself falling apart a little toward the end from sheer lack of energy, but I am grateful I was able to play at all. I am one tired character.

Greg,

That's a great shot of the band. I'm glad you made it through the gig considering your "fluid" circumstances. ;) Playing under such conditions can sure take the joy out of the evening but one does what one must. I hope it all went much better than your health would allow you to perceive. Congratulations!!! :P

It's GREAT to hear that You've managed to "survive" on stage Gregory...
If there is any documented evidence of "the night" - we sure would like to see it... ;)

In the mean time - GET WELL!!! :geek:

Happy to hear that a nice performance to benefit the local EMS guys did not a mutual benefit performance.

Wish you had been in shape to enjoy it more, but glad it went well.

Congratulation to Lily as well, and to the rest of Cupola.

I am wondering which we will see first:

- audio from the house feed

- video from FOH

- both of the above, on your website
:?
