Has anyone used the iDrumTune app? I used one today, and love it! It's very accurate and user friendly. My DD is going into retirement.

What is it?

Is it just an app variation of a tune bot?

Yes Cliff it is.
I put this app to the test today with the DD. I used Evans clear G1's top and bottom. I got the drum dial settings at 75 top and bottom. I used the app to get each lug to match. I had to make micro adjustments with the app. I hit the drum and got a frequency reading of 129.7 Hz. Which according to the app chart is a C3. I put the clear G2 back on and used the DD to get a 75 reading. I measured and got a reading of 124 Hz. Which is a B2. I then used the drum dial to get a 77 on the clear G2 and got a reading of 128.9 which is very close to a C3.
Now I must sleep.

Hey Greg,

Makes sense that the G2 would require a higher DD reading to get to the same pitch.

Gotta love the precision with which the individual lug tunings can be matched, and the crystal clarity of the pitch when they are.
;)
