That's the stuff, good for any lube job that requires more than a disappearing oil. Because the valve is German, the flow can be controlled incrementally, so with a bit of practice your finger will learn to spritz just the right amount.
The reason I suggest it is twofold; 1) it will take up space in a joint and provide lube and cushioning to any rattle, and 2) you can pinpoint the problem by applying it, in steps, to anything that might be rattling. There are about five or six points that might vibrate when tension is slackened; how many times have I misdiagnosed the source of rattle ?
If I were certain of the source, and if it did not go away after grease app, then I'd start thinking about compressing the rivet in a vice, where pressure can be applied in increments. Pliers might work, but there is some likelihood of over accidental over-compression; it's too difficult to meter muscles.
