Does any one know of a good one that can be started and stopped while you are playing? I would imagine a foot switch or a pad or something you can tap with a stick.
Or help me find one :)
Digital that I can pipe into my sound system.

How about a sequencer or dedicated computer metronome, or maybe an online one? I use the spacebar to stop/start. I have used http://bestmetronome.com/ in the past. Very easy to put that kind of stuff through your sound system.

Thanks C...I'm reading.
Was thinking of something I could plug right into the board via my snake. They got anything like that?

we used to use a cheap korg metronome and plug it into a volume pedal when I wanted to not hear it. Cheap option. I think the roland rhythm trainer might have one on it and it has a pad you can hit, plus it doubles as a practice pad/motivator.

I suppose any drum module would do that! Tap input as well. Or, as suggested, any metronome with a line/headphone out is a cheaper option (although you generally can't control the tone/kind of click on those). Sequencer option is way more powerful though.

I see they are using pedal triggers, but hell that's an expensive way to go.
