I see you can now order a hard moulded case for your drum dial. Why on earth do they not come with this case anyway? I got mine maybe 3 or 4 years ago and my cardboard and foam box is falling to bits! Does anybody have an alternative to this box? For such a nice piece of kit I'm surprised it only comes with this cardboard protection. Does anybody know if they comes in the moulded case new now?

The digital version comes w/ case. I don't think the analog one does. I can't see why the digital one has a greater need for a case. The case does contain a piece of glass, used to zero the dial. Maybe the digital version requires more zeroing.

I wonder why this is. It's such a nice well made piece of kit I would never just throw it into my bag and have always taken the time to put it back in its cardboard and foam lined box. It's just starting to fall to bits! I think I may have to make my own and stop moaning!

You can buy one from DrumDial. https://www.tucsonwebservices.com/drumd ... ucts_id=33 $40. Probably $3.27 from China if you can find it.
