Shells were thinner - the 14" was almost half of the 12" in shell thickness...
And both the bd and the tt had a distinct YELLOW color inside - nothing like maple... It looke birch all the way, except for the Scandi veneer...
I talked to SONOR - they confirmed the shells were all original, and that it couldn't be anything else than a SONORLITE shell (without the veneer). They said both shells were prototype (since they were from Feb 1988)
Plus, the 14 sounded brighter than all the rest of the set... Judging from my S Classix now, the sound was almost the same - very similar...
Personally - I adored that bass drum...
It was WAY better than the bass regular maple bass drum a friend here has...
