Tell me about it, I hate moving...then all the hassle of getting broadband installed at the new place which takes at least 2 weeks for some reason, and to top it all off some klutz reversed his car into mine in a car park, just stuck it in reverse and backed straight into me, had a french number plate and left hand drive, anyway it's cost him well over £700 so far, but an incredible amount of inconvenience to me...lucky there wasn't an old lady or child walking behind his car otherwise he would have run straight over them.
Anyway here's a link to the sampler for the new release we have coming out, recorded on this kit:

Incidentally you can see the murderer in the background

and here's the sampler:

we've put the most accessible stuff on the sampler, heads/melodies and so on, but will put up some full tracks soon.
Hopefully all back to normal soon and can get down to playing music! :D

All very nice, but I am particularly interested in hearing all of the fourth sample.

Work you can be proud of, Nick.
;)

What's this? Everyone is turning up the heat! Congrats on the accomplisment, NIck. I'm with Cliff's intrigue with the fourth sample, but great playing across the board!

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Well as requested here is the full track of clip 4, it's called 'Deja Vu' and the second section, 'Entropy' (basically free improvisation which we love)
Hope you enjoy :D

Hey! I posted an enthusiastic response... I thought. Where'd it go? :| I believe it began, "An afternoon at the beach?" and went on to talks about some very nice playing and good sounding drums, lots of ideas and so forth. It ended with "The drums sound like... well, like Sonor jazz drums." The mix sounds great. Keep it up!

Do you guys play live or is the band a studio project?

While I was listening I went back to survey your cymbals in the photograph. Nice collection!

Hey Nick,

Been listening on the office system a bit today, and initial reaction is very good. Some nice work from you on Pigeon Hole. ;)

May be a day or two, but I'll spend some time with these on the studio system and we'll talk more.

Thanks Greg glad the mix sound ok on your system, yeah we play live although this recording was put together to try to get good gigs, festivals and the like in Europe and beyond hopefully, the scene isn't great in the UK in my opinion, unless one likes playing to a man and a dog...

Cliff that's great can't ask for more than that, ha ha yeah Pigeon Hole is the only traditional 'jazz' track on the album, with a Brubeck kind of vibe I think. The bass player and sax player are really steeped in the jazz tradition, much more so than the keys player and I so they sound great on this track, you can hear that they sound very comfortable.
