I went up to Shanes shop last night and checked it out. It was truly awesome, no wonder that guy is so well respected. Besides giving inspired performances he's a really nice guy, It was great to be in a small room and really be able to see and hear what was going on. The best part was that he spoke more about feel and sound than technique, which I thought was good for the younger guys in the room to hear.
check out his clinic video from the memphis drum shop and you'll get a taste of what we got

It was killer! He was playing a set of delites with a 16 classix floor, nice comparison between maple and birch. Apparently I am too deaf to hear the difference.
Shane is doing great, we should invite him here, he has a really loyal customer base and a packed shop.

Been talking with him quite a bit. He also favors Mapex. Says "the best sounding drums on the planet".

You've been talking with Benny about mapex? I think that violates some part of his endorsers agreement....
