Not sure if this is old news or not, but this is a pretty neat new online drum mag with instructional videos and snippets embedded in it!

I work on a computer all day so I rarely have the interest to log into one at night, but it is amazing to think how far the technology has come for stuff like this. I remember buying instructional books that I usually never ended up working out of, or maybe VHS tapes when the drummers start to do them. But I'm more likely to just look at a 2-3 minute video like these about Drum 'n 'Bass or something I'm unfamiliar with, just to see if it's even something that I want to pursue more. So in that way this might be more useful to me in a busy life. Enjoy...

Phew! I just opened the first one and remembered what happened when you first posted it, David. There was Neal Pert, in depressing livid color. I have no idea why that man discourages me; I've never studied him or been interested in his music or playing, but one look at him makes me feel old... and congealed.

Anyway, I vowed to plunge past him, and did. One half hour later I leaped back out, gasping for air like a person who has been underwater too long. Too many things to buy that I don't have money for, too many people I don't know and probably will never meet, too many side streets and back alleys I don't have time to visit, too much certainty about things that I neither know nor care about. I guess I am not trade magazine readership material.

I would die of boredom without the side streets and back alleys of life. Just checking out one of the Galactic videos (2/3 of the way down the page) made my day:

You've just put your finger one of my multiple deficiencies. There is so much to explore in the world, and I like the romance, the glamor, and the excitement of travel and exploration, but when it comes right down to it, I'm more comfortable wandering through some nearby forest and coming upon a séance of cows, in an open meadow with a stream slicing a serpentine path through it.

I've been watching this online drum mag for a couple of months now. I especially like the reviews.
