I like the drum, I like that they are pursuing "out of the ordinary" things/ideas.
There is always that little "thing" that they do that urks me though.
A) It's not named right, "One of a Kind" and 45 drums made.
B) The Price makes it completely unrealistic. No reason in the world that drum needs to be 2000 dollars. Except to confirm who the manufacturer is.

Prediction:
These will sell, it will take time, price will drop some for the remaining stragglers that didn't sell.
They will be all over the internet "used" for 800 bucks inside of a year.

Yeah, nice looking package aside from cost and square rods. I don't understand why there are two different drums pictured in the photos. Entertainingly, one has a badge with grain parallel to the shell veneer, the other a badge with perpendicular veneer. I wonder whose call that is.

What's with the language? Is it Drum Center or Sonor that writes, "Spectacular natural grown veneers"? Really sucky English, and only serves to piss me off again that they failed to state "unnatural veneers" way back when.

How about this howler: "For each edition a certain tree has been selected with the goal in mind to only use the most exiting parts of the grain." For what it's worth grains don't excite. Figure does. But here the grain is exiting, which it certainly has from the tree.

Then we get to the politically correct crap so we can all feel virtuous in our buying habit: "All veneers are sourced at specialized suppliers in Germany, which guarantee that these trees come from environment friendly sources and are exported/ imported legally." Just ask us. We'll tell you how honest we are, but we won't tell you when our veneers are fakes. Phooey.

Doggone it. Just when I was starting not to care.

Good point Greg, I didn't even notice it was two different drums (on a "one of Kind" ad)
Which one would I be getting
