Can you step on the pedal. That picture doesn't seem to tell the whole story.

Thanks.
Did it hit the table in the back?

Only the drum hit the table. The pedal stayed right where it was with my foot on it.

I actually don't like dead center hits with the BD pedal. I prefer a little higher than center, and don't mind if it's a little right either (the JoJo pedal does this also). It's similar to hitting a snare dead center... all fat and no ring, which is usually not best for me. Plus, my foot has always been one of my weakest links, at least in rock playing, and I feel a little extra pedal length gives a bit more power to my strikes. Plus I have two torn ligaments in my right knee which doesn't help.

I just traded for a used GS pedal so I'll let you know how it goes. I've always liked the docking station concept and had an old Premier pedal that used one too.

I do like the gs pedals, smooth slick even action, works well on both 20 and 22... I've got three doubles now all bought used, would never pay the £600 new price though, that's just ridiculous

They really are amazing. I'm always tempted to grab a used double, but sometimes even used is way too much for a pedal in my head. New, forget it. I can't imagine who buys them new.

Probably the same kind of guy who bought two Sig pedals (even though he played only one bass at a time) and four Sig snare stands when he ordered a custom Signature kit back in the 80s, and who paid an extra 25% over the already hefty price for Sonor to keep the hardware and not drill the associated holes for the tom mounting system.

The guy I won my last one from for one, it was in perfect condition with the box etc, paid £130... He was gutted! One of those scenarios where nobody else bid :-D
