Post subject:  The circle is complete

As You fellas know, I was in Oslo, Norway at the end of April, prior to my visit to the US.

When we headed home from Oslo to Skopje (via Istanbul), the airline said that somehow they've overbooked the flight and 3 of us (out of 7) would have to stay on the airport and await the next flight.
I and 2 other male colleagues volunteered to stay, since we had 3 female colleagues in the group, each with children waiting to see their mothers...

The wait was long, and killed my whole weekend, but something good came out of it...
Each of us was, at the end of May, transferred 400euro as compensation for the overbooked flight (since we had tickets)...

And, I took this "as a sign", and made the only logical move I could think of... Phoned the SONOR factory for the S Classix 16" floor tom in walnut roots...

I transferred them the money (430euro) a couple of days ago, and now I'm on the wait list... :)

The circle is complete - finally the moment I've been dreaming of, since the very beginning - back from when I bought the Hilites (then, I was unable to find the 18" bd):
To have a one-series-set consisting of 10tt-12tt-14ft-16ft-18bd-22bd, that could be easily split into 2 sets (10-14-18 & 12-16-22) or every other combination needed.
The best part - what I play at rehearsals is what I'll be playing live!!!

I can't express (once again) how grateful I am for you guys helping me out with the bass drum.
And I'm also grateful that the Sonor factory decided to do the floor tom as well. Somehow, Shane and Sam don't take S Classix orders any more (I've read that on the sonorforum, by the link one of you posted, I think)...

Now starts the waiting process....

:D :D :D :D :D

Hey Goki,

Thisi is excellent news!

Like you, I was concerned that they might stop taking orders before you were able to finish out the whole set-up.

Now you will have a kit for each of us when we come see you and Marta some day. ;)

I get the 18" kick.

Here's hoping you get real walnut roots and not the fake shit.

   Go tell it on the mountain, Kel!

Great news, Goki! I could live without the 14 but not without a 16. Now you can put the cows to bed.

Thanx guys. It really means a lot - all of this support!!!

Gregory - my best combo with a 22"bd was always 10,12,16ft. The 16"ft fits the low thud of the 22"bd perfectly.
And Cliff - when we played in Austin, the 12-14ft-16ft-18bd was a good combo. I guess now I will have a chance to check out 10-12-16ft-18bd as well!!! :D :D :D

That is - if I take enough pills to survive the 15 week waiting period... (rofl)

It just gets better and better...

Monday I got this email:

Dear Goran, thank you for your payment!
Attached I send you the order confirmation. The instrument is in stock! We would like to arrange your shipment within the next days.
Please tell me if this is ok for you.
Thank you!

Is it OK?!? :o :o :o

It's unbelievable - that's what it is!!!
They'll send it by tomorrow, and hopefully, I can look forward to seeing the floor tom in a couple of weeks!!!

Let's hope the "last steps" don't mess this one up...
