I am looking for a 8 Phonic tom in Mahogany. Pretty much to prevent me from veneering an entire kit to get one tom to match. Yeah I know....but I'll do it So when I see Phonic Mahogany orphans in any size come up, I always inquire if they have any other pieces they wish to sell. I have found more stuff that way... Anyway, found a real nice guy selling a couple drums, so I ask if he had a 8 tom he would like to sell. He tells me, "I know what you're goiing through". He looked 14 years for a 8 tom. A few weeks ago he walks into a pawn shop, yes...sigh...a pawn shop. He finds not only a 8 x 8 Phonic Mahogany tom sitting there, but a matching 6 (head) x 8 tom sitting with it. Said he paid nothing for them. We both I agreed I didn't want to know. He then said "I will never sell them". To which I replied "I hate you". We were both ok with that.

That day is in the future for sure. I love my PP's though. That kit looks to be a 8x8,10x8,12x9 config doesn't it? And...uh...it's blue But they are the drum deal of the century. Still can't believe what they can be found for.
