... as a decade when instrument manufacturers were starting to go cheap (especially guitars), moving production to Asia, using inferior woods, electronics, etc. And then I see this and I think... Wow... Sonor was not going that route at all and was creating some of the greatest (and most beautiful) drums and hardware ever! I only wish ISO mounts had been available back then.

The 80's was the era of turning businesses into money pumps. Sonor got the memo rather more recently.

Great catalog.

I was lucky enough to have one given to me by Lane (sonordrug)when I bought Signatures from him.

Gotta agree with you that it would sure be nice to have these drums with some less dampening mounts.

I still have mine from '84, when I bought Phonics and then Signatures two years later. The catalogue is starting to fall apart, because I still rifle through it for informational purposes. Unlike you guys, I never had the mounts.
