Yeah, I love how wide open his bass drum sound is. Wish I could play with some force without burying the beater, but I'm too old to try to retrain myself! ;)

Yup. That 20" Designed kick is something special.

Has Carlock always been playing Gretsch, or is that a change?

Yes, on his instructional video he is playing a Yamaha PHX kit.

Greg, very happy you are digging the 20" kick. 20x18" is my favorite BD size. Although I'm enjoying a recently acquired 20x14"! ;)
