14x12" floor tom? Hmmm... not a very vintage size. Oh well...

The odd note in the proceedings, that and 16x14. Sonor has been making a lot of floors in those sizes lately, but one wonders why, after going through the trouble of recreating vintage lugs, vintage hoops, vintage T-rods on the bass, vintage badges which are vastly cooler than any badge created since, and cutting vintage edges - why did Sonor make that choice for floor toms?

Of course, if you have the real thing, you don't really need to go there. ;)

I wonder if part of the motivation for 'pre-configured shell pack' is to force liquidation of certain size shells that are in an overstock position.

I am not much of a follower of trends, but I am guessing that either 14 x12 (and shallower shells in general) have become less popular, motivating a sell-off, or more popular leaving Sonor to think 14 x 12 was necessary to sell kits.

...and that's my statement of the obvious for today.

Right. But either of those motivations seem a bizarre driver for this PcSP. Seems designed to be perplexing.
