Been listening to the samples of these on the Web...I must say they sound incredible especially the snares. Had anyone else checked them out? There is the cost of course which this video addresses aptly :-)

The Star Walnut kit sounds A LOT like a Saturn kit.

Always had an interest in Tama. Never got around to taken the leap.

I'm so outdated, it's impossible to find one of the top manufactures that offer a 10x9,12x10.....
Saw a video of Thomas Lang and his new kit....10x4, 12x5, 13x6....WOW

To think if he wanted a couple smaller toms for his kit, they would be 8 x 3

Yeah the new gimmick short sizes....Was looking at Cobham's kit on the Tama site, big sizes although slightly 'fast' sizes..
I do like the idea of a shorter 12 but only so it fits comfortably on a 22 bass drum.
