These fn things are pissing me off. I've tried everything I know to try and they are still dead dead dead flat.
It's me, I hope.
Coming off those Saturn floor toms it's really hard to accept anything subpar.

I'm in a rut. My snare has lost it's bounce too and I can't get it back. Might be time to retire.

You may need to pack those things up and haul 'em to Texas.

Then we can see if the problem is caused by the room you are in.

If not, we can explore other possibilities.

It doesn't seem [i]likely[i] to be the drums, does it. I mean, I read wonderful things about them and I assume the reviews are based upon some knowledge of what drums can sound like.

room has GREAT influence on snares...

a box in a corner can change the whole sound

I'm a believer in those Latz. Though I'm not sure how much they contributed to it but Saturn floor toms have them and those things were f'n cannons.

Haven't been back at it yet but my thought is that I have to tune them up some and go to gel or something. OR maybe those mini Emad pads we were discussing previously. I hate the idea though. Don't like adding variables like that.
