I'm eyeing up a 16 x 16 long lug tom. I would want to put legs on it eventually but they would have to be original equipment. I would imagine Designer floor tom legs are in high demand. What do you think? I would also need to change the 4 APS grommets correct? |

Are Designer FT legs fat? You won't need new rubbers, Kel, but it'll look kinda funny if you don't replace them. |

Yup. Exterior dimensions are fatter to accomodate the H-bar, but the specs that matter - fit to the OD of lug casing, insert through hole in shell, and depth of lug relative to the exterior of shell, are identical. |

Why not use a RIM cradle? |

I have a hanging 16 already Goki. Which I am quite happy with by the way. The hangers are 16 x 14. Just interested in getting some deeper toms for legs. Long lug drums are hard to find and I regretfully didn't get this one. |
