I'll start this thread by publicly thanking Croyd for being a true gentleman, beyond limits!!! Ron - I owe You a help of any sort... As You know I've been after a 600 series bass drum pedal (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=217), and Croyd came up with the most unbelievable offer - thank You Croyd... So, this Saturday, I switched the Signature pedal with the 600 series, on my S Classix... I must say - it was a revelation!!! Such ease in playing, and guess what - no more "rattling"!!! Greg and Cliff, You remember I struggled with this for quite a while... The pedal is amazing!!! Simply amazing... It's more stable than the Force3000 series pedals, and it feels heavier, but makes no sound. The 3000 pedals are still getting regular use on my Catalina, and on Marta's cowbell adapter, and this baby is DOCKED to the S Classix... It'll be used on every rehearsal, and on bigger gigs... I must say that the 3000 series pedals look and feel light, but they seem to last for decades!!! It's a perfect balance between quality and simple design... Thank You Brian!!! The 600 series, on the other hand, is soo cool!!! Everything about it says - status, design, quality. I'm honored to have one by my side... Thanks once again Croyd - if You need the Signature, just say so, and it's yours... Or if any of You guys wants it... I'm expecting MY gift this week (although Brian mentioned a surprise in the same box ) - and then I'll spend a whole afternoon just playing, tuning, changing hoops, dialing, tuning, playing!!! Just like a little kid... This turned out to be a great year - I never knew there were so many Santas in the US... You guys are the best - don't know what else to say!!! A small picture instead of words... I'll post a whole topic with pictures, stories and happy me just as soon as the hoops arrive and "find" their way on the S Classix snare... |

600 pedal is great. The GS is a different creature, but I have no trouble at all switching back and forth between the two, the difference being very subtle. Sure glad the bass issue was resolved by the pedal. I believe that was #1 on the trouble shooting flow chart? Don't know what you did, Ron, but goodonya! I'm moving to Macedonia soon... |

I know how amazing a Classix kick can sound with a great pedal, so I decided to try and help a little. Goki, I'm so happy for you, my friend! After hearing files of your playing, I just knew this pedal would be perfect for you!! Your obvious joy and delight in the pedal actually helped to make my holiday season!! Hey, Goki, are those drums in the pic white pearl by any chance?? |

Bravo Ron. Class doesn't come any higher than yours. I can imagine the revelation going from a Signature pedal to a 600 series pedal. I would liken it to going from Hlites to SClassix. Your drum world as a whole is coming alive Goki. Everytime we send you something you post a picture....it's all worth it. |

Still have no idea what was rattling on Goki's kick, because my Sig pedal didn't do that; but I did notice the 600 was quicker. If you want a fast foot, use the Sig for twenty years. |

...I decided NOT to have a fast leg... But Gregory is right, actually... If You master speed with the Signature pedal, then You'll be REALLY QUICK on any other modern stuff... |

I agree to the concept, like boxers who practice with 20lb gloves, it's an excercise. You sure don't see them wearing them on fight night though. I think I'm better off practicing on what I will be using. |

If we were to be serious about this discussion, the answer would be variation. Play heavy pedals slowly, play heavy pedals quickly. Play light pedals slowly, play light pedals quickly. Play both loud and soft. But most of us still have lives. |
