What are reasonable prices for some of the 5000 series hardware (i.e. snare stands, double tom stands, triple tom/cymbal stands)? |

This has not netted you much response, Justin, because there is no specific number. As always, condition is a major factor. A snare stand, not mint but presumably in very nice shape, went by on ebay recently and $255 in bids before bidding stopped. That seemed very high to me. I expected it to go for $175, wouldn't have been surprised up to $225, and anything higher might have been influenced either by there having been none on ebay for months, or else by the one that's been hanging out on German ebay for months, at $265 plus $75 shipping, or else by the seller having a rather long story w/ photos on his website of him and Charlie Watts. I bought a reasonably good condition first edition snare stand for $175 shipped a year or so ago. Most, thought not all, of that version have chrome problems on the aluminum legs. Those without problems probably will if subjected to quick temperature shifts. However, there are a number of features that make that stand, and that generation of equipment, more interesting than the next version, which largely reverted to Signature thinking. Low price for a 5000 series snare would be $150, high is apparently $255; I guess, but do not know, that the same is true for the hat and tom/cymbal stands. |

Greg, Thanks for the info! I'm mainly concerned with acquiring another double tom holder (for the 8" and possibly a cymbal mount) but I figure it's good to know a "round-about price" for the whole series. I see them pop up mostly on German eBay but, like you mentioned, with the already high prices, shipping just puts them over the top. |

The 600 series tom/cymbal stands with AX4 (I think that's the number... in any case, the Designer friendly four sided tom arm) arms work fine for the smaller toms. |
