I might check one of these out because I can get it very cheap and it matches one of my kits. Has anybody played a bass drum of this size? I love my 20 dia x 18" depth bass drums and just wondered what people's experiences with these were. This one would be an 8-ply maple shell.

I haven't played one Dave. But I am absolutely convinced I would love it.
I have heard from some that I repect that it is their favorite size now.
