Hi Guys, Looking for some advice if possible. I have a range of Sabian HHX cymbals and all of the ones I have bought over the years I got in the natural finish but when my girlfriend bought me a few she got them in the brilliant finish! Is there anything I can do to make the brilliant ones look dull like my natural ones? Of course if it is going to alter sound drastically I would not want to sacrifice that for a purely aesthetic goal. Any help appreciated! |

Ron I think when they make cymbals brilliant they buff the metal itself, so its not a coating you can remove. You could bury them for a while, or pour beer all over them, or rotate them in your hands for hours to darken them up but I don't think you'll get them to match. enjoy em if they sound good! |

Thanks guys! My girlfriend is indeed one of the very few interested in my hobby. A keeper for sure! I'm pretty intrigued by the thought of sticking them in hole in my garden for a while! Pretty exciting to think what you may dig up! |
