Picked this up from the museum site: can't help but wonder if this was his idea or Sonors? Looks like standard DeJohnette configuration, but shorter toms, perhaps?

It looks like one less drum than the set-up I have usually seen.

This looks like 8/10/12/14/16, and if that is correct, the 13 looks to have been omitted.

Cymbals, presumably, have been minimized to showcase the druns.

You're right.

Maybe They gave him what They wanted. But then look at his Designer setup in the Designer brochure: 10,12,13,14 hanging and a 16 floor. :?

I can't help but think Sonor begged him to take possession of an SQ2 kit. Just ain't looking good playing all the older stuff.
