How much would You spend for a set of USED K Constantionples:

14" hihats

All in very good shape - no damage...

Goki,
If you shop carefully you can get that set up used for between 650-750. But let your ears decide if it is worth it, there are a lot of duds in that line and sometimes a used set of them doesnt sound great together.

Goki,

I concur with Tim. I was thinking that $700.00 U.S. would be a very good price. It is true, you can get trash can lids though. Even if each cymbal sounds great individually, do they project the right intervals that you would want out of your cymbals? If you can't play and hear them, then perhaps you should think very carefully about such an investment.

Hey Goki,

I don't know what you are using these for, but here are my thoughts for what they are worth:

14 inch Constantinople hats are one of my favorites. Nice presence, nice wash, buttery soft feel to play. You know that I have been recommending them to you for years. ;)

I have two Constantinople rides that I love, both 20's, but I need to be very conscious of controlling the wash and build-up. With a 22, that would be even more of an issue. I did once try a 22, and it was just too much, for me.

Likewise with the 18 crash. I have a 16 that speaks fairly quickly, and has a nice washy decay, but I did not think that the same qualities transferred well to an 18. I would like to try a 17" Constantinople crash, but I am not sure that they are made in 17. The 18 was too big for me.

I have to agree with Tim, that need to be selected individually. Evven the hats that I like so much are made up of a top and a bottom from two different 'sets' that Zildjian had put together.

If you do like all three that you are looking at, $700 - $750 seems fair.

A friend of mine has a set like that, back here...
He's thinking of selling - and asked me for a value. My estimate was the same - 550euro.

The only problem is he thinks he's gonna get at least 800euro for them ... :(
