Kelly, ask him if the wrap is taped on or glued:

I saw that Hale. Is that a re-wrap?
We need some catalogs. One is on ebay now I think. And Goki posted one. Still haven't took the time to find it. I think it's in my thread.
I see a couple 14 x 5.5's for sale, are you looking for one? Did your kit come with a 14 x 7?

Also, your kit came with a 8 x 8 didn't it? Does it have the re-ring? My 8 does not.

It could be all original, a custom made drum for an endorser....

For Premier catalogs (and many other drum companies) see here:
http://www.drumarchive.com/Premier/

Signias start in the first Rebound cat. I think.
I'm nearly sure that Signias with gold lugs never had any wraps ever.

My set did come with a 7x14, and yes all Signia 8's are ringless.
I found a 5.5x14 black snare--should I buy for $300?

Can you make an offer?

I could but my guess is they will only deal a little and with tax, I'll be pretty close to 3 bills either way. It's like I hate to buy it just to buy it, bit if I love the 7, then the 5.5 might be long gone by the time I figure it out.

Just low ball em Hale. And if it's not mint condition don't pay anywhere near 300.
I guess you already know the 5.5's seem to be abundant, the 7's are few and far between.
I doubt you will part with a matching snare but if you love the 5.5 and want to off the 7 let me know.

Where are you with the kit, cleaning? heads? just looking for free time with a new born?
Are you pleased with the condition?

Yes the drums are in very good shape, the main problem being a bit of oxidation on the chrome lugs here and there. What do you use on chrome? I mean to polish, not to remove pitting etc. Is Brasso too extreme? I've always just used Turtle Wax chrome polish.

Otherwise they look great...dunno if I need both bass drums and the 8 thought...maybe I'll recoup some of the $ that way.

I use 0000 Steel wool
If you have any that are too bad, Peter probably has replacements.
