The demo video of the Designer kit (jazz tuning) has a sleeping Lab. Retriever in front of the bass drum. I bet that dog is related to Cliff's Charlie. I think Charlie has slept through some of Clifford's drumming.

He has indeed. Charlie has laid down directly in fom of the kick drum head, or beside my stool, and slept through entire rehearsals with the trio, without moving until it was over.;)

I have taken him with me on gigs, and just slippd his leash handle under the leg of my stool, more for assurance to everyone else than to actually keep him there.

Now that's funny. If he sees water.... he's taken you, your kit and the entire stage for a ride that will make the 5 oclock news.

Just be sure to call the news team ahead of time. I'm sick of these stories that have no video.

When I was in high school, my friend's Rottweiler used to lie right in front of my bass drum too. Our repetoire was Cream, Hendrix, Clapton, etc. at max volume. He seemed to love it. Fortunately he wasn't picky about the quality of the playing.

My Akita HATED noise. I mean, if you just turned up the TV she got up and moped to the other end of the house as if she was depressed.
When I would head downstairs to play, she would watch me go through that door and get propped up in a position to be ready to move.
Once down there, I would just hit a drum at first and listen to her get up and walk all the way through the house to the back bedroom.

Same thing with a vacuum. Poor thing just got depressed when she heard one.
