Interesting to watch being I sold my matching snare with my kit. Haven't seen one up alone. 14 bids in 16 hours is kinda crazy. Maybe I should have parted mine out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Laquer-Fini ... 2a159dbd18 |

Usually, snares OUT of the set, reach a better price. Simply because: 1) People pay less for a snare, then for a snare AND a set, 2) More people collect snares, than sets. So, IF it's hard to sell the set - offer the snare too. If the set is easy to sell - part out the snare. Very little people are after "matching snares" when buying a set today. Even if they do get it, they usually end up selling it to cover for some $$$.... Just my 2 cents, on the subject... |

I used to think the golden rule was never sell the snare with the kit Goki. How I did it for years. These days it's really hard to sell anything. If it's slow moving, best to offer the snare, a pizza and a free mower. |

Kidding aside, in the last 2 years I always ended up selling for less, or throwing more in the box, than the price I wanted. But, that's how it goes now, I guess... |

When I bought my Sonorlite kit, I tried (not too hard) to pass on purchasing the two snares that came with it: the LD547X and the LD400. I am so glad I bought them; they are both my favorite snare drums! BTW, I hope to take some pics of some of my snare drums this weekend. I'll post here when I do. Brian |
