I've seen that drum in the past trading hands.
There are quite a few deceptions in the Link era world now. Some drums being hocked as original and rare.
When I know first hand that is not case.
For instance, quite a few "rare and mint condition" 6" Signature toms, in nearly every finish has come through in the last few years. I know these drums were after market. Yes, Sonor made them, but by request of a "special friend" that wished to market them, knowing the rarity and what 6" toms were commanding.
There is a look about these drums that stick out to me and I can usually discern. This drum has that look but I wouldn't accuse or swear by it. It does look an aweful lot, almost exactly, like the Signature 8 x 14's Sonor made me a few years back that were Scandinavian birch.
