http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP6DCD4b ... re=related I must say, it's one of the most beautiful sets out there - certainly the best looking from MAPEX All Walnut shells - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi_5C3fm ... re=related |

The Retrosonic snare really looked like a killer snare in their line up last year. This looked impressive until all the details rolled out. No idea what they are thinking. Can't see that going anywhere. While I was there though, I found a really old video of Virgil on a Sonor kit: http://youtu.be/NpalFZs5rg4 |

[quote="Kelly"] This looked impressive until all the details rolled out. No idea what they are thinking. Can't see that going anywhere. Which details make it unappealing, Kel? I mean, I'm not interested in a 22 kick, but nothing else about the kit seems prohibitive. Limited numbers may make the price unappealing. But it is good looking, at least in video. |

I agree with Goki it looks real nice but......they don't sound good to my ears at all. I know it's just the camera mics picking it up but just sounds a bit dull to me. I loved the Mapex Meridian Maple kit I had and it was the most bright sounding kit I've ever played and that was with pinstripes on! Would like a shot on these for sure. |
