I can't believe it has nine bids as of now without a Bonham reference:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ludwig-6-5-Supraphonic-Snare-Drum-Blue-Olive-70s-L-K-/220960137410?_trksid=p5197.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26otn%3D8%26po%3DLCA%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6609519685366101099

The only thing that has survived is the "Reliable Anti Galvanic" stamp inside. Perhaps it only applies where the stamp resides...

Cost of bringing that back: prohibitive. But I have noticed there are a lot of guys with itchy fingers to restore something.

If Aluminium could rust there would be nothing more than a puff of dust.
Used as a boat anchor perhaps. :|

Wow. I'm surprised that got bid up to nearly $300 after shipping. Guess someone has a powdercoating job ahead of them...

I saw that. Ridiculous! I know it reads cold, but this is a perfect example of drum-buying stupidity. Or perhaps shill bidding. There is no shortage of 1970s Ludwig 402s that could warrant this purchase. More money than active brain cells. Perhaps the buyer's eBay user name is : I am sofa king we Todd it
