A photo of the H&B cases, custom made for the Designer kit. I used Cliff's dimensions for his 18 bass, and specified two floor tom cases so that I could make use of the pivoting legs and not have to remove the legs for packing and schlepping.

I don't think I can remember the story in its fullness, but Dave Latz spent an outrageous amount of time getting this order right. Thanks to Dave both for some excellent prices, and for staying with the project until HB got it right. H&B is at least as interesting to deal with as Sonor, and you may need an advocate like Dave to penetrate the corporate shield.

I love these cases every time I use them, although they still don't cart themselves up and down the stairs. :D :D :D

Yes indeed.

It is very comforting to pack a kit up in these cases and know that anything you will live through will not damage your kit either. ;)

It is nice to now have a perespective of your place when I see photos. Where did the teardops go?

Can be seen peeking out behind the cases, just under the SS United States and Queen Mary.

Nearly invisible with the white head and chrome hoop.

One of those 'how many drum kits are in this picture' / 'find the hidden drum kit' photos.

Yeah, tricky hidden things, a test for sharp eyes. :D

Light in the room was not on the cases. Since I almost never use a flash, in bringing the exposure up the background got washed. That the drum got lost was mildly agreeable since it was distracting without adding much information.

Gregory, First and foremost, I am glad to hear that you are happy with the cases. I am sure it was a case of too many cooks in the kitchen. One always seems to know best or at least think they do. As with any order placed, I feel it is my responsibility to follow through until the customer is satisfied.

These "deals" are available to anyone in the US (sorry Goki). Shipping just is out of my control and gets to be outrageous overseas. The more you order, the better shipping is because they stack the smaller cases inside of each other.

Gregory, again, I am glad that things worked out, no matter what the hassle was....

Dave
