Yup - they're officially on SONOR's web site!!!

http://www.sonor.com/pbas/Sonor_FE/sono ... t_ql_engl=

Several new stuff is available:

- Prolite in NUSSBAUM (by the way I never knew that "nussbaum" is "walnut" in German  ) Adam's last name matches his Hilite set I guess...
- No S Classix, Delite or Beech Infinitive  (no birch option, maple and beech only)
- The new Dual Glide System is phenomenal
- The throw offs are all metal, even on the Chinese models (unlike the S Classix plastic stuff, that I must admit, work REALLY hard)
- Jojo is perfectly balanced in the catalog ;)
- New MBS 400 cymbal stand, with a retractable cymbal arm
- New SS400 snare stand (with the no-teeth positioning, but STILL without a memory lock)
- Cymbal sleeve cup for the 100, 200 & 400 series stands (something useful)

And that's about it... Enjoy... :)

The linkage on all of them is metal. Try putting some lubrication on the linkage pivots, Goki. My Classix snare came very stiff, but with a little oil it worked very smoothly.

Why do companies like Sonor even bother with cymbals?

They like to offer all-in-one for the buyer, I guess. Especially for the lower series.

Like the Yamaha Rydeen cymbals...

This is more than merely unethical; it is become a sad joke. Lifted from the "Finishes" page from the catalog, right above the faux veneers. I can't wait to hear how this is defended.

SONOR was the first company to introduce and use spectacular vertical veneers on drums and this has become a trademark of the company.
Wood is a naturally growing product, diverse and unique in its pattern and beauty.
Vertical veneers are selected, set by hand and matched for your Drum in-house by master craftsmen.
Each veneer sheet is one of a kind and makes each Drum unique like your personal fingerprint.

The first sentence is true. The second sentence is true. If you separate those two from the third sentence, it is probably true, too. Same thing with the fourth sentence, but the conflation of the first two with the last two is surely tenuous.
