I put up a soundbyte yesterday. I decided to delete it, because I thought it was boring. Here's a groove I came up last night at band practice, it sounds rusty but I'm working on it. This is a drums only recording because I wanted you to hear the Evans heads.
Kick= EMAD clear
Snare= G14 coated
Toms= EC2 clear

Thanks for listening,
Greg

Yeah Greg nice groove in 7, reminds me a little of a Cobham thing, drums sounds great too!

Does sound kinda like a Cobham thing. Very cool! Keep the soundbites coming!

No Kelly I didn't like the G 14's on toms after all, I had to tune them too high. They sounded very thuddy at my favorite tuning range. I still favor coated G2's for toms. I like the clear G2's for the Metalcore music that I play. My conclusion is I don't care for the "Adjusted" extra thick single ply or thin double ply heads for toms. The coated G14 and Power Dot Center Reverse are my go to snare heads. I'm trying a clear EQ2 for the kick next week. :)
