So, as Gregory predicted, I have just bought some more veneer. :roll:
I will be making a jewellery box for my wife, and possibly one for my daughter, and then, hopefully another kit. :twisted: :lol:

Shellac. Whatever you do, you'll have to start with shellac, because no oil base finish will dry on it.
