I have a theory that 18" kicks enter your life when you are ready to integrate them.

I knew for years before getting one (actually, two) that it was coming, but there was a day when I knew I now needed one, and began searching in earnest.

With all the effort you have put into developing a quiter, more dynamic style, it looks like the time has come for yours.

I think you are going to love having a kick that fits better with your recent style developments.

I'll give you about two weeks before you turn that 22" Designer into either (i) a coffee table, or (ii) someone else's 22" Designer.
:o

So.... I guess that explains why the 18 is still rattling around in the truck, not for delivery until tomorrow. 8-)

Although Cliff is right - once you try an 18" kick, there's no turning back...
But I find that having a SONOR 22" is also very valuable...

Anyway - WE ALL WANT PICTURES - OF BOTH DESIGNER SETS!!!!!

Thanks, Jeff.

A 24 is a 24, an 18 an 18, and the twain don't meet. I'm sure I'd love a 24 although I have no practical reason for owning one.

Wait a minute - didn't you say your band plays in small places? Why are you lugging a 24 into a small room?

Well, I manage to keep a 22 under control (ish :? )for those gigs :ugeek: , but Rehearsals, or Mic'd gigs, its the 24  .
I just like the way the big kick sits in the mix, full, you feel it more than hear it. My kick patterns are more spacious than busy, the ' 'Brutal Metal  ' days are well over :?

Cheers
